This course enhances welders' skills in welding carbon steel plates using SMAW, safety practices, interpreting drawings, performing calculations, quality systems, using hand tools, preparing and fitting materials, setting up equipment, and repairing welds. It also covers communication, teamwork, work values, and housekeeping.
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II
The Welding NC II (SMAW) Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel plates components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using SMAW welding equipment.
